Summary
Buggy was a child of the Sea, soul young and hummingbird quick, a chosen of Amphitrite from among thousands of others.
She had seen him as a babe, small and blue haired, his mother vibrant and vicious, long before the reality of night life had stolen her beauty and her wits. Blue haired like the babe in her arms, with green eyes and a smile that could cut, the woman gave the few paltry offerings she had to the Sea, spoke prayers in tongues long forgotten and wished for the health of her child, for his life to be full of love and adventure, for his feet to take him far away from the cursed shores where she was chained to make a life as a prostitute. She prayed and prayed as the moon hung over the Sea, glimmering silver on the waves, as it dipped and hid beneath the waters, as the Sun rose and his rays danced merrily across the horizon.

Summary
Soul marks are the tool of Balance, scholars say, and the way Fate can make things right, give just a little hope when all seems lost. When lives are in peril, when mortal danger is at hand, a soul mark will appear and soulmates will have just those few extra second to turn the wheel of Fate, to undo what once would have been set in stone. At least that is what Shanks knows, what his Father - Captain had taught him when he was only knee high and enthralled with the dark words scribbled on the older man's left arm.
Romantic bonds become black. We don’t know why it happens like this, it just does. Familial bonds become dark blue, like the Sea when she is at her worst, churning in the throes of her anger. And platonic bonds become a soft blue, the caress of the waves under the Sunny sky. It is as it has always been. What cannot be denied is thus: when one’s soul mate is in mortal danger, a red mark will appear, crimson as blood, sometimes bleeding, sometimes burning, depending on the depth of the bond between the soulmates.
Across the Blues, there is no one born without a soul mate.

Summary
Luffy knew that being dared to jump off another waterfall by Gizao was not gonna end well for his physical well-being especially since this waterfall was twice as big as the one in Wano and Nami had gotten several extra years in which she had been able to hone her punching - and how had Nami even managed to recreate Gramps' fists of love was a mystery the newly minted Pirate King still had no answer for, but somehow his navigator had made them hurt worse - but a challenge was a challenge and Luffy was not going to ignore it, not when he saw the same glint in Torao's eyes, already calling for the Hearts' new submarine, the Coral, to steer hard towards the waterfall, at their farthest left Gizao cackling with the same type of manic energy the other two captains felt.
What Luffy did not expect was for the drop to go on and on and on, almost never ending, cutting through clouds and fog that had not been there before, nor for their fall to be not in the sea, but rather in the middle of a frozen landscape he still remembered all too well. A frozen landscape burned on his retina that his haunted him after all those years.

On the banks of Elbaf, it is not the Kidd pirates that Shanks sees in the distance, but rather the submarine of one Trafalgar Law, the man who had saved his kid's life after Marinefort and one of little Anchor's mates. That changes some things, but not as many as one would expect.

At Winner Island, Eustass Kidd faces Marshall D. Teach and the Kidd pirates are obliterated. However, Teach has no use for Kidd's devil fruit; it's a bigger prize he has his eyes set upon and he is going to get it.
