“You know, I really hadn’t noticed,” Techno says, and there’s something tense in the way he’s holding himself, “But now that you brought it up, maybe we should just avoid the drama. Have we considered askin’ them politely? Or going home? I feel like we should maybe just go home. I’m feeling kind of…sick.” Techno badly fakes a cough.
“Oh, that’s really bad,” Ranboo says, not bothering to look the least bit concerned, “Phil, I think he’s going to die and the only cure is leaving.”
“The only cure is leaving this council meeting right this instant,” Techno says dramatically “Oh, god, I think it’s infectious. Phil, look at Ranboo. He’s so pale half of his face is white.”

We’re not hiding, Quackity wants to say, but while he’s a liar and a cheat and an idiot he isn’t usually dumb enough to call out the rabid wolf in the room. They’re hiding. He doesn’t know what they’re hiding from. The memories have settled somewhere vacant and out of reach, but he knows they’re hiding.

Summary
Technoblade fights the war like he always has. He does his job halfway enough that no one wants to keep him, and decently enough that no one lets him go, and he teaches Theseus well enough they keep him, too.
That’s the play. The easiest strategy is the one the enemy thinks they’re most familiar with, and Technoblade has been casual enough with Ghost since they met that it might work.
Theseus has, at the very least.

(Technoblade is in a bedrockbros found family dystopia hero fic, Tommy is in a hurt/comfort SBI fic, Phil is unconscious but otherwise in a sandduo heist fic, and Wilbur is the trenches of a psychological horror. It gets better.
Against both Technoblade and Wilbur's better judgement, SBI drag each other out of their genres kicking and screaming.)

If there's one thing Wilbur Soot knows, it's that adults are not to be trusted.
These adults are no exception.
Even if they're nice to Tommy, even if they never yell or hit, and even if they want to adopt him and keep him forever. They're hiding something, he's sure of it. He just needs to find out what, and then they can all run away.

Wilbur has a job, and that's to keep four-year-old Tommy alive. He's good at his job. Tommy doesn't drown in a bathtub when he's a baby or stick a fork into an outlet. He doesn't get kidnapped by bad guys or trip down the stairs. He even learns his letters!
It's hard work to raise a baby, especially if you have to do it alone. That's why Wilbur's so lucky: he's never alone.
Wilbur and Technoblade are in this together, for better or worse.
Enter the Watson home, and their jobs just got a whole lot easier. Wilbur can already tell this is going to end in disaster.

Summary
Tubbo might be a criminal. He might even be insane, actually. He's definitely a liar and a thief, a hacker and a saboteur. Maybe he's a little bit of a killer, too, but at least he's not them. He's out, and he's never going back. It wasn't easy, and he didn't manage it alone, but he's out.
Or he's supposed to be. In one fell swoop, the entire game of intergalactic politics turns on its head. The life he's created starts to crumble. To keep himself and the people he cares about alive, he has to go back in.
Whether he likes it or not, he can't run forever. None of them can.
(This summary sounds intense but I swear this fic is mostly a comedy.)
