Well now, losing a game of poker to Vax was one thing, being the prize he wanted? That was something else entirely. In secret, Percy was not opposed to the idea. There were definitely worse ways to spend the night.
After Vax gave him the option to choose when and where, with the instruction to kiss him when he was ready, Percy kissed him immediately.
Vax could have him, Vax could play, but he was not about to roll over and show his belly. Oh no. Vax was playing with fire.
So he teased him, he outsmarted him, he outwitted him, and he flirted right back. He made Vax work.
Until finally, Vax caught him.

Seeing Percy without his glasses for the first time is one of the best, and worst moments of Vax's life. He'll never look at Percy the same way, because damn if you could somehow manage to become better than perfect, Percy just did it.
Typical. Vax swoons as he and Scanlan quietly appreciate the beautiful, sleeping man in front of them. There's just one teensie weensie little problem.

When Percy wakes up, he finds Vax in bed next to him. He's half-naked, lying on his stomach, cheek pressed to the pillow. And he looks adorable.
Percy can't stop staring, the Raven, looks like a Lovebird.
But when Vax wakes up and Percy tries to praise him, he learns that Vax is not quite as vain or cocky as he pretends to be. He hates his body, he doesn't understand why Percy loves all the things people have always mocked him for, like his smaller form, and pointed ears.
Percy can't have this, and tries to reason with Vax. However, he gets a little sidetracked by the realization that Vax is wearing his shirt... and the brilliant, genius mind can't figure out why.
