Summary
When Xisuma and Cleo left for an easy reconnaissance mission of the base of a smuggler ring they'd been tracking, they hadn't expected much drama. Unfortunately, though, their ship was spotted when they were a few minutes out from the base, and then their entire plan got chucked into a wood chipper (figuratively speaking, of course. Joe was too smart to let them write down their plan). Now the two of them were stuck on a random moon with no working ship and no way to contact their people back home, leaving it up to the them to make their way back to their family. However, with no pacifist Hermits to convince them to hold back, maybe their arrival is more of an issue for the inhabitants of the moon, and less of one for X and Cleo themselves...

Summary
Xisuma hated everything. Well, that was a major exaggeration, but he was really unhappy with how things were going. You’d think he’d have learned by now that splitting up from the hermits without their knowledge was a bad idea, but here he was again, coming back to consciousness with his wrists tied above his head. He was groggy and disoriented, probable consequences of whatever his kidnappers dosed him with. There was also a bag over his head, blocking out his vision and leaving him with minimal chances of being able to get out before whoever took him returned. Still, he pulled at the ropes binding his arms, hoping to find some way to untie himself.
He couldn't. At least, he couldn’t do it quickly enough.

Summary
Xisuma’s week had been shockingly normal, and it was beginning to worry him. They’d gone to two market planets and had both those trips go smoothly- they didn’t half-kidnap anyone or get into any fights, they just bought their goods and left. After that they’d done maintenance on the ship without revealing any stow-aways, important bits of information left by a group this ship had been stolen from, or even just major potential dangers built into the vessel. And then they’d also responded to a distress call, and it really was just because the ship had run out of fuel! Normally those kinds of calls were either traps or some sort of space-time disturbance that X could never fully wrap his head around, but even that was normal! It was incredibly weird, and X was sort of freaking out.
Nothing in his life ever went smoothly for this long! And then, like the lack of problems this week weren’t bad enough, there had been no injuries to anyone here for nearly three weeks. X remembered having a sign counting the days since the last Incident on his previous ship, and it never seemed to go above 9. They’d almost reached 20. 20! There was no way things were going to keep working out this way!

Summary
X was worried. Tango had taken a bad hit in their fight an hour-or-so ago, and he hadn’t been seen since. This wouldn’t be too worrying if Zedaph or one of Tango’s other close friends had disappeared too, but he’d talked with all of them and no one had any clue where the robot had gone. It wasn’t like Tango to just disappear on his own either- sure he’d get caught up in projects from time to time, but vanishing off the face of the Earth- or, well, the face of the ship- just wasn’t his style. X had already checked out most of the spots Tango tended to frequent and still hadn’t found him. In fact, the only place X hadn’t looked yet was the cybernetics lab, which Tango rarely went to. It was beginning to feel more and more like something was really wrong.
Part of a series- Can be read on its own!
