Schpood doesn't quite know how it happened, not really.
One day, they're cuddling in his nest, and the next day, 5pyder is pinning him to his nest and gently biting the glands on his wrists with a quiet purr. He doesn't know how he ended up biting one of his in return, giving his own purr that fits so, so perfectly with 5pyder's.
It must be something instinctual. It's the only thing that makes some sort of sense. It- he- maybe he should've been more invested in those biology lessons growing up, or those "Courting 101" classes that don't… exist, but that doesn't matter! He's Schpood, he knows it'll come to him at some point!

She was in the shower when she started to feel a little too hot. Even turning down the temperature didn't help, the freezing cold not even giving her a single shiver or goosebump. Which was concerning; this only happened during a very specific time of year, and that physically could not be happening.
To go into rut, she would need to have a den, a mate, and somewhere she felt incredibly safe to hunker down and do nothing but cuddle and purr for a week straight. And bite. And hoard. But she… she should not be feeling this way here, not in this place where her den is a measly guest bedroom, a few blankets, and a pillow that smells distinctly of rain and all Cass that makes her salivate-
