So he would rather not tell the sinner to go sleep in his own room, even if it was only for today. But Lucifer just needed one night of rest—something Alastor had been making rather difficult over the past week.

No. For some reason Alastor, whose smile had always been relaxed and close-lipped in sleep, had suddenly become a toothy grin like the one he wore during his waking hours. That alone was very unsettling, but then his teeth had started fucking glowing, and it was incredibly, obnoxiously bright.
In summary: Lucifer isn't sleeping because of Alastor, Alastor isn't thrilled with Lucifer's solution, and they deal things the only way they know how to—with a fight. Plus a healthy dose of bickering.
