Summary
Ranboo's hands started shaking when they went to open the dye container. They took a breath, letting it out slowly, then closed their eyes before dipping one gloved hand in the dye and running it through their hair. And that was that! They couldn't turn back now!
They opened their eyes so they could see better to get the dye done properly-
And froze. Because there was now a pink streak running through their hair.
Or: when Ranboo went off to college, they took what they thought was their black hair dye with them. However, their foster brother, Techno (who happens to be more than a little terrifying, and also seems to make a point of ignoring them at all costs) dyes his hair pink, and the dyes got switched. Clearly, this can only end well

Summary
It was an otherwise ordinary Saturday morning. Techno was sitting at their desk, catching up on schoolwork. At least, that's what they hoped it looked like- if they were doing schoolwork, their parents wouldn't try to start a family activity, and they were really not up for another of those. It had already been a pretty long week, and they'd been looking forward to having a few hours of free time to play some video games.
Of course, that was when they noticed the sound of footsteps outside their door.

Summary
Techno was holding the door to the outside open, giving him a look, as though to emphasize that Tommy could leave any time he wanted. Tommy, of course, elected to ignore this, and simply turned to dart further into the room. He'd heard the warm crackle of a fireplace over in the corner. And honestly, he deserved a nap after all the stress he'd just gone through.
Behind him, the door closed gently, cutting off the rush of the gathering storm outside. "Alright then," Techno said, almost to himself. "Guess I have a cat now."
Or: canon-adjacent au; cat shifter!Tommy managed to avoid exile by the fact that no one knows he can turn into a cat. However, he ended up at Techno's cabin on accident, and doesn't really know how to deal with this

If the outside had been pretty much like he'd remembered, stepping into the house felt like stepping back in time. It was every single day of his childhood, walking into the house after a long day of wandering the fields to the smell of fresh bread and dinner cooking on the stove, and suddenly he was torn between wishing he really could go back to that time and wanting to run as fast as he could in the other direction.

Summary
Communication is key.
That was the one rule Phil had for his little team of thieves. Communicate. They were a team, and they had to act like it, which meant petty squabbles and annoyances were resolved before they started a heist. That was the best way to stay safe, and to be sure everyone was on the same page.
Or: an ordinary heist goes wrong because some people (*cough* Techno *cough*) don't communicate. A simple injury can turn into a big thing if no one knows it's there :)
