Summary
'Afton? He killed a kid. You should stay away from him, convinced his old man bribed the judge. No way in hell that guy shouldn’t be in jail, he’s dangerous.'
He’d heard all sorts of rumors, whispers around halls and classrooms about him, some more outrageous than others. Yet they all made the same point; *Stay away from Michael Afton.* You either hated his guts, got a kick out of beating him, or were scared of him. Scared that he’d kill you next, drive a knife through your chest and enjoy it. He was a town pariah - everyone knew it, if you didn’t? You’d catch on quick, people would make sure you knew and that you had an *opinion*.
