Merrin has seen this one before. A slender blond with a reserved, almost blase countenance, dressed well but without much evident warmth to her. She could see herself finding the ambition to test the waters there, but for bright, loud, colorful Sabine, she seems an interesting choice. Maybe it's like they say. Maybe opposites do attract.
At any rate, she's willing to stand back and see.

She waited eagerly for their next meeting, wanting to rid herself of the thing that was Sabine Wren once and for all. Shin had began to hope Sabine had died, but she knew that injury wasn't a death sentence.
When they do meet again, she's bested in that fight. And yet the whole situation ended in them still getting the map, and Sabine becoming her...their prisoner.

This was it–the end, he thought as his knees gave way and he dropped to the floor. He heard Crosshair pleading with the natborn, didn't even give the man the courtesy of thinking of him as an officer; much good it had done him. There were, no had been, better men than he, and Mayday had served with them all his life and he was serving with the last one now. Brothers to the end. Calling him an officer was an insult to them.
They were all gone now.
Crosshair's voice was getting quieter. He could barely hear him now.
Was that blaster fire?
He didn't care anymore.
He closed his eyes.
There was someone singing, no words, just a tune.

Summary
As a fan of most things Star Wars, and especially The Clone Wars and Rebels, I found the Ahsoka series to have so much potential and the plot as a whole to offer so much for the future Mando-Verse, but it was so close to being such a great series not only for fans, but to general audiences as well.
These chapters will not be very 'fanfiction like' as I have kept as much of the original plot as I can the same while improving what I consider flaws which made the series both confusing and tensionless at times.
I hope you all can enjoy what I made and feel free to tell me what you like and dislike.
