Around two weeks ago, Ranmaru realized he had feelings for Joe.
Wow, big shocker right?
There’s just one big problem; Ranmaru isn’t gay. And he's pretty sure Joe isn’t either.
Around when he met everyone, (Sara, Joe, Anzu, and Ryoko), he quickly developed a small crush on Sara. Nothing too big, just a tiny infatuation he had for her. He quickly got over it after he was told she was a lesbian. And he’s pretty sure Joe used to date Ryoko before they decided they’d be better off as friends. So there’s no way he’s gay, and there’s no way Joe’s gay either. Surely these feelings are just a fluke, and Joe definitely won’t reciprocate.
Therefore, he’d just have to wait for them to go away, and the problem’s solved with no friendships are ruined.
And that’s why he’s avoiding Joe right now.
“Hey, ‘Maru! I’ve been looking for you everywhere. No pressure or anything, but could you help me with my math homework. Calculus’ been kicking my ass…”
Right on cue. If there’s a god out there, they hate him or something.
