The continent-spanning Solskein Imperium has persisted for almost two millenia. Though magic of many kinds is integral to life in the Imperium none is more essential to it and its rule than the art of Soulshaping and the Rite of Binding. A magical manifestation of the caster's deepest essence, a Shape and the mages who project them have the unique ability to subjugate the essence of others. The Shaper then grows stronger, feeding on the mind and submission of those they bind. Upon their 18th birthday Soulshapers are required to enroll in the Solskein Imperial Academy, as much an arena as a bastion of learning. I...I have no words for this (I should be finishing my other stories but I've recently seen bits of the BBC Musketeers (loved that show) on YouTube and then I stumbled upon some old Muskeeter fanfics I read once being a female D'Artagnan/Athos story and this is the result of that rabbit hole I feel down. So this is just a short fic...might see about doing a longer one later. Just wanted to get this idea out of my head as it was begging to be done)
so on to the summary
After the death of her Mother, Charlene's life is turned upside down. More so when her Father remarries and seems to forget he as a daughter when things take a dark turn she's forced to leave the place she had once called home her life is forever changed when the man she viewed as her father is killed by a man called Athos upon arriving at the Garson to fight this man she quickly realised that this man isn't the man she's looking for, a simple decision leads to her life-changing forever.

Summary
Tommy Innit moves in with a strange new foster family. The Watsons are... a little too nice, if you ask him. The other shoe has to drop at some point, and he won't let himself be caught off guard by it. Especially when a secret that he's been trying to hide for his entire life is on the line.
In the meantime, he and his best friends pick up an exhilarating new hobby in (illegally) fighting crime. They quickly find themselves being drawn into the world of heroes, vigilantes, and villains in more ways than they would have liked.

The Watsons aren't the most normal family, even just by appearances, but they try their hardest to do good for the city. Everybody needs a hero now and then, especially the stubborn foster kid that has recently moved into their home. It's a shame they can't even reveal their actual careers to him.
