Summary
Wels’ original armour set was a mess. While it hadn’t rusted yet, it was corroded and scratched up. In some places, the metal had torn through, creating gaps in the armour. It was unwearable, at this point, but he still kept it around. There were a lot of memories attached to the thing, so he had placed it on an armour stand when he realised he couldn’t wear it any more. It now sat as decoration in his bedroom, in a nice little enclave he’d made for it. There were a few others scattered around the place too — suits that’d been wretched in explosions, or corroded by acids, or just broken down by everyday wear and tear. His current set of armour was his best yet. He’d gotten the help of some of the Hermits to make it, and it was obvious just looking at it. The heavy plates made far less noise when he walked, and the gaps between them were even more difficult to catch with a blade. It made his job a lot easier. Just as he thought that, a message pinged his comm.
Xisumavoid: Border’s getting overloaded again. Ok to go today?
Wels typed out a quick response, and grabbed his good sword from its stand.
Welsknight: I’m ready. Meet you at your base?
