Either Yalu's fic completely changed or they were inspired by a different fic and mixed it up (possible as this premise IS familiar to me from other time travel fics) but it's very much not like that fic. Which is a good thing, great even! Disliked Yalu's fic.
As much as it sucks that this is unfinished, I know I prefer this fic. I mean I'm going to reread it cus I don't remember it well, but it literally has the Yes and Bookmarks tags, and I only use them on fics I like/like the premise of.
But ye this very much doesn't play on a similar concept; this has the time travel through Chuck and Amara and has Dean waking up in his younger body. Yalu's fic is from what I understood time travel through Cas, before Amara was even released btw, and has double Deans which is always a negative for me. I don't like doublesActually I'm no longer sure if the premise that was familiar to me is from other fics and not just from this one, though I swear there is another one that isn't this and is similar, yeah no there is. Something something Dean time destroyer amateur? Something like that

This is that fic! That I remembered thinking about a while back. With Dean being like. Brought back and made from several different things. He ain't human but he's also not a specific creature either?
Damn sucks that it's unfinished as the concept is awesome, which shows as I remembered the fic and knew it was this the moment I came across it againBtw Dean 'died' when he was 22 (well he did die, a werewolf literally ripped his heart out. But he was brought back)
Was brought back by Dyani. Usually the transition takes a few days to settle, but with Dean it took two weeks-
Aight list of most of what Dean is. As I prob missed shit;
* Silver iris & pupil, looking dead and blind, can shimmer. He got payment from Ma’at, allowing him to see the true form of whatever he's looking at. I think only his left eye is blessed with this.
* His heart and other organs that were damaged were replaced
* His skin stitched together where it was possible, and patched (with other skin/stuff from different monsters and creatures) where it couldn't. The silver stitches shimmer and are obviously magical.
* Dean needed.. a remedy/potion/medicine to protect his new chunks of flesh, as going Frankenstein ain't a quick fix
* Has three braids, heavy with rune engraved beads dangling in front of his right ear* Has a lot of cool magic obviously. Makes spells. A real professional, and masters a lot of this cool ass shit. He's a powerful badass.
* Made it so his shop reacts to him to defend him, it's semi sentient

Fic headcannon about Death's scythe that will be explained in a later chapter but here's the basics-only someone who has permission from Death can hold/use the scythe, only someone who has been Death can hold/use it, and only the vessel of an archangel can hold/use it-if someone doesn't fall under 1 out of 3 then they die if they touch it
