Summary
Dean Winchester has been living in secret for over a century. Turned into a vampire in the 1800’s, he had to leave one brother behind in Mystic Falls while running away from another brother who promised him an eternity of misery. But, in 2009, his plans are interrupted, and he returns to Mystic Falls when a familiar face draws him out of hiding. Castiel Shurley has the same face of the vampire that turned him into a vampire over a hundred years ago and he feels drawn to the other man by some force that he can’t explain.
A canonically divergent retelling of the Vampire Diaries with Supernatural characters that nobody asked me to write, but I did it anyway😊 -

This fic is conceived as a draft for a gothic novel that will later be rewritten into my own original setting and prepared for print.
It’s inspired by the neo-gothic vibes of Lovecraft and Lukyanenko, and in terms of narration sometimes echoes Milton, Poe, Clark Ashton Smith, Anne Rice, and Clive Barker: pseudo-archaic language, body horror, psychological abuse, and religious motifs woven into a single story of dependence and cult.
This is not the final version of the translation: I’m still polishing the style, rhythm, and wording, and I continue to revise even the chapters that are already published.Series

Those who prove themselves worthy shall join the (diminished) ranks of the ageless Dragonslayer Knights. With them, their lieges shall ascend to the High King's court, where they shall have His Majesty's ear for all eternity. Or at least for as long as their knights survive.
Sir Gideon of Drearburh was raised to be a footsoldier, not a knight. She is, however, the closest thing to a knight that the Kingdom of Hadea can muster. Her liege, Princess Harrowhark, wishes to join the High King's court that she might seek aide for her people in their ongoing famine. Sir Gideon never wants to return to Hadea again. If Gideon places well in the games, both their needs shall be served. Unfortunately Sir Gideon can barely ride a horse.
Sir Naberius of Ida, in contrast, is a veteran of the tournament circuit. He is certain to place highly. Or, at least *he* thinks so. And he is quite happy to be forever 23.
Both Gideon and Naberius ought to know by now that magic always comes at a price.

One thing leads to another and Harry gets kidnapped? Or that's what Dumbledore believes anyway. Here is where the story unfolds and Harry learns that those conditions ran much deeper than expected. Enemies turn friends. Friends turn foes. The golden trio isn't as golden as people think.
Oh, and Harry finally gets to feel the love of a family. A makeshift one, but one altogether. -
