When he first found out he was pregnant, Eddie was really hoping that he wouldn’t have any super wild cravings. At the time, his craving had certainly seemed relatively normal. From what Buck had read pickles and Nutella was a fairly common pregnancy craving. And he had somehow gotten Buck to agree to trying ALL of his pregnancy cravings with him, no matter what they were.

Eddie has a very intense craving for a very interesting ice cream based concoction at 3am. Buck makes it for him, and tries it. They find out the sex of their baby. They go baby shopping. And Eddie gets intensely horny. In that order.

It seemed that since Eddie had found out he was pregnant, and came home from El Paso, and Buck was home from the hospital, the symptoms of pregnancy had decided to get worse. Not terribly so, but the morning sickness had decided to really hit him now that he knew what the constant nausea was about. And it didn’t help that he was now getting aversions to certain foods; mostly chicken and eggs. He could not deal with those foods being anywhere near him.
He was now 10 weeks and 3 days pregnant and the last week had been… rough....
Day 2 of PregEddieWeek 2026. Prompt: Side Effects, and I have also done a mention of potential lactation kink, because why not.
Just a nice little one shot this time, set after the one I posted yesterday, where in Buck and Eddie are at home, Eddie is really feeling the pregnancy symptoms, and Buck is loving the fact that his man is gonna be able to chestfeed if he wants to.

Buck stands and watches him fondly, and suddenly something clicks into place in his mind.

“Oh,” Buck breathes.
Eddie looks up. “Oh what?”
Buck swallows, excitement and nervousness tangling in his chest. “Eddie… have you—have you taken a test?”
Eddie freezes.
For a long moment, he just stares at Buck, eyes shiny and unreadable. Then his hands curl into the blankets, gripping them tight.
“…I promise I was planning on telling you tonight,” he whispers. “M’sorry”
Buck’s heart stutters. “Tell me— tell me what, exactly?” He asks, even though he pretty much knows the answer already. He wants to hear it from Eddie.
Eddie’s scent spikes—warm, sweet and nervous. He takes a breath, then another, grounding himself.
“I’m pregnant.”
