Jack had told Mac once, both of their backs against the sun warmed headstone facing Dalton Sr.’s grave, that losing his father had knocked the world off its axis. He’d then hastily clarified that he knew it hadn’t actually, that it had just felt like it had. He’d been trying to preempt some expected response from Mac, a ‘well that’s physically impossible Jack’ or ‘that would require an impact that would cause immediate mass extinction across the globe, thus making it feel like absolutely nothing’. With Jack’s shoulder against his, and a Dalton gravestone facing them, Mac let himself be uncomfortable, posing a tentative, open-ended, question instead.

Summary
Set directly after Ordinemon's defeat in tri.
Ordinemon was dead, the world is saved. But the perpetrators are still on the loose and Meicoomon died for nothing. Nothing is finished as they have to deal with the aftermath of the tragedy and fight for whatever Yggdrasil's messenger has in store for them.
With the new digidestined being confused after losing months of their lives gone under Yggdrasil's captive, the old one being plagued by guilt and their own internal struggle, it will be harder to stay being sane let alone to fight. Especially when their leader, Taichi, being trapped inside guilt and trauma that continue to spiral downright despite his insistence that everything is fine.
Features both OG and 02 Digidestined and their partners. Will have both human drama and digimon fights.
Mainly Taichi's POV, but sometimes change to other focus characters. Not leading to LEK.
