The Avengers initiative isn't a thing. The Avengers were assembled by Tony Stark during Loki's invasion. After that, everyone went on their own way. Navigating through their own personal issues, trauma and haunted by the ghosts of their pasts. The team gets back together when whispers of The Winter Soldier emerge.I’ve had this idea in my head for a while. My goal is to include more characters into TWS AU (Yelena, Clint, Tony, Wanda), show their thoughts and feelings, flesh them out and most importantly depict how the team went from coworkers to friends. Expect plenty of flashbacks of WWII and The Red Room!
This is my first time posting and writing fan fiction. My head cannons for the characters may not aline with yours (I hope you will like my takes on the characters and I hope I did them justice). English isn't my first language, so I apologise for any mistakes.
All trigger warnings will be noted in the beginning notes!

Newt is sure that this is going to go well. He’s going to make fucking sure of it.
(When Newt and Hermann go to visit his family after they save the world, Newt hopes that Hermann's family will finally appreciate Hermann as he deserves.
What he's not expecting is for Hermann's siblings to think that Newt is only with Hermann for the money- nor for it to start to itch at him.)
