Welcome to the Prison of Mutual Killing! You bastards are prisoners of war, and this is no normal mutual killing game. You have six days to kill someone. When the timer runs out, every single one of you will be terminated along with the prison!
Full-length mutual killing AU with a cast of 16 (and some) original characters based on my high school friends. This is the sequel to Dangan Ronpa Re:kindle, and it isn't going to make a lot of sense if you haven't read that one first.
Where Re:kindle was a by-the-book mutual killing AU, Re_dux is a killing game with variant rules that become increasingly twisted... and eventually fall apart. Re_dux is very experimental, and is intentionally written to "hit different" from Re:kindle. Also: hope and despair, truth and lies, knowing and understanding, upupupu, etc.
This story was originally written in 2016 and was re_worked in 2024. Some big changes have been made to individual chapters, but no major plot events have been altered.

“I had scoliosis,” Peter whispered, not looking away from where they’d heard the metal snap. He had gone pale. Bucky was sure he was a few shades lighter, himself. “That’s… that’s what I was gonna say before."
“Yeah?” Bucky asked. He loosened his grip on Peter’s shoulder, but didn’t take his hand away.
“My back still hurts sometimes,” Peter explained quietly. “But that might be because of the swinging. Hard to find a strong enough chiropractor to crack it, you know? Maybe… maybe two thousand tons of concrete would do it, though.” Bucky leveled his gaze at the kid. Peter looked back at him, swallowing hard.
“Let’s call that Plan B, okay?” Bucky suggested.
“Yeah, okay,” Peter mumbled.

Or, Peter gets caught in the collapse of a parking garage with a (mildly) concussed Bucky Barnes, and has a nice get-to-know-you sesh with our favorite super soldier while waiting for Tony to find a safe way get them out. Super chill, right? Everything's fine. Oh- and he's been impaled by two rods of rebar and can't move without risking bleeding out. That... complicates things.

Peter and Bucky get trapped in rubble of a collapsed parking garage 11 levels down underground. Peter has rebar stabbing him and Bucky has a car on his leg but gets out to sit with Peter until they are rescued. Bucky keeps Peter calm and does his best to treat his injuries when he has to move Peter or get crashed. Afterwards Peter is high on pain meds and talks with Bucky
