John was used to hot weather. He'd experienced far hotter temperatures when his master had sent him to Nevada at the height of summer – the desert heat had seeped into his bones back then, and he knew intellectually that the current weather wasn't nearly as hot as that.
The humidity, though. This humidity made it so that it was an entirely different type of heat. Every drop of perspiration his body had produced since his shower twenty minutes ago was still on his body. It was too much.
