Summary
Greg was 36 when he first met Mycroft.
The man in the three-piece suit had been waiting in his office, uninvited, the day after Greg had found himself taking advice from a junkie (and smart-arse) on how to interpret his crime scene.
Greg was sure he saw the younger man’s expression positively lighten the moment his gaze fell on Greg, but that was soon replaced by what might be disappointment, which immediately faded, leaving a polite neutrality that gave nothing away.
