Summary
It appears that it is forgotten that Aether himself is a complex being that is just as human as his mortal façade appears to be. Due to that, it comes as a surprise to him that what he is feeling in regards to the vigilant adeptus of Liyue was something that extended beyond platonic fondness. A close encounter with an end that the aforementioned adeptus narrowly achieved sends the traveler of worlds into a rather panicked state in regards to that fondness, but not before he digs his own grave.
Incidentally, the adeptus had begun digging his own as well, and Aether was not the only one sent into that panicked state.Series

Summary
In a harebrained joke of an assassination attempt, a lowly sinner spikes a bottle of Mead meant for the overlord Zestial with the cheapest untraceable poison they can get their hands on; Velvette and Valentino’s love elixir.
Though this would not kill an overlord, it would leave him incapable of defending himself should the assassin attempt to finish the job, and so Zestial calls on his old friend Carmilla to help protect him.
