“Whatever do ya mean?” Societte felt the need to whisper back, the heat creeping closer to the tips of her ears. Now, there was a growing need to not look at the volleyball game, lest her thoughts be wrenched away from her like so much foam on the waves.
Yuel’s expression turned sly.
“The boys, Societte.”
“I–” Societte’s entire body froze up–and she squished the fillet in her hand to bits. “I was… thinkin’ nothin’ of the sort.”
