Summary
Dr. Nial Dee did not consider himself to be an extraordinary man... It was rather difficult to ignore the fact that he was antisocial, quiet, and an overall bore to talk to.
But to Dr. Dee, he was unlucky. Now, that didn’t mean he was interesting. He worked and worked and worked, slept, ate and did nothing else. There was simply no time to do anything else. Somehow in this strict schedule of working, eating, and sleeping, Nial had managed to be unlucky.
This was mostly due to the fact that the man who had been lying beside him in a comatose state had chosen the ninth year of the decade, tenth month of the year, seventeenth day of the month, thirteenth hour of the day, and thirty-second minute of the hour to wake up. This, against all higher power, was the exact year, month, date, hour and minute that Dr. Nial Dee was working in that man’s room.
