Your job as Detroit Central's IT Security Head was to be a human firewall: resilient, smart, and ethically uncompromising. You were all those things. You were also, on occasion, spectacularly stubborn and stupid. So when an intimidatingly advanced android/corporate siphon is assigned to your precinct, you do the stupid thing: you try to explain his feelings as processes. And when a wave of corruption and violence rises from not only around the city, the makers of the siphon, but from within your own department, targeting you both, that connection becomes your only lifeline. Now, you're fighting a war on multiple fronts: one against the criminals in the system, and another for the soul of the machine you weren't supposed to care about.

Connor is assigned to the DPD a month earlier than canon, working original cases. In addition to investigating androids and hackers, Connor must contend with a lieutenant who despises androids, and a psychologist with a concealed past and enough anomalies to be a case unto himself.
Aaron Tarn’s plan was straightforward: consult on android cases, keep his work contained, and leave nothing behind worth investigating. Then Connor arrived and made that plan far more difficult to maintain.
Across the cases, a larger mystery slowly takes shape… one neither of them is fully prepared to confront.
This story features an original character written to integrate seamlessly with canon and support a slow-burn, character-driven narrative.

Being alive is a relentless experience. It’s messy, uncertain, and sometimes painful. Connor is only starting to learn how much.
He should be glad; three months after the revolution and he’s finally back at the DPD, working with his partners, solving investigations. It must be comforting in its familiarity. But while everything seems the same, nothing truly is.
Connor waits, his patience fraying, aching for recognition–but still her eyes don’t soften with remembrance. Being a stranger to her doesn’t bother him as much as being the only stranger.

Summary
After Connor tried until the last moment to finish his mission only to deviate in the last possible Moment, the Android revolution was victorious.
But as everyone else slowly gets accustomed to this new, still far from perfect, reality Connor is left alone.
Both humans and androids see him as a traitor and on top of that he somehow has to process all these new emotions.

Hank reflects on his life while being held on gunpoint by an android he, against all odds, learned to trust. His fatal mistake was letting himself warm up to an android.
He was wrong. Trusting Connor wasn't a mistake, but failing to protect him was.
Now, it's up to Hank to comfort Connor in his last moments, before his injuries send him into a shutdown.
