Yumeko stepped forward, not enough to crowd, but enough that the scent in the air shifted—sweet, rich, alpha-pulled tension. “Jealous?”
Kira didn’t flinch.
Didn’t blink.
But something behind her eyes flickered.“Delusional,” she said, voice low and razor-clean.
“Mm.” Yumeko tilted her head. “So no part of you imagined what that would feel like if it were you?”

Her voice, when she spoke, was calm. Clinical.
“Tell your puppy to stay out of my path. And you—” her eyes narrowed, cool as polished jade “—should be careful where you aim your scent. You might attract something you can’t handle.”
Yumeko’s smile widened, slow and satisfied. “I’m counting on it.”

Summary
The end of the school semester uncovered some secrets and created new doubts, this new semester has been loaded with drama, mysteries, bets and to top it off... romance.
St. Dominic’s welcomes the students back from break. Everything seems normal, but "seeming" isn't the same as "being" and nothing is what it seems. Yumeko returns with a thirst for revenge and the alliance with Kira ends up being dangerous, and fun. But that same thing distracts her from her goal, it wakes up feelings she wants to bury and embrace at the same time.
While Ryan Adebayo tries to rebuild what’s left of Yumeko’s heart, ignoring that she’s miles away mentally.
In the darker corners of the academy, other bets are being played in silence: Mary and Riri try to figure out what they’re feeling, but both of them are sure that it's love.
At St. Dominic's, love is the dirtiest game of all. And Yumeko is ready to double down.

Summary
This is my first piece of fanfiction and it is something I put a lot of time and care into. It does not introduce new plot points or change canon in any meaningful way. Instead, it follows the events of BET as they already exist, but from inside Mary and Riri’s heads. The focus is on their thoughts, their interpretations, and the feelings that go unspoken while everything else continues as normal.
This is essentially a character study disguised as fanfiction. The scenes are familiar, but the perspective is different. It lingers on observation, proximity, micro-expressions, and emotional subtext, on the moments where nothing outwardly changes but something internal shifts. The goal was not to rewrite what happens, but to read more closely into what was already there.
The lack of Mary and Riri focused fics, especially work that stays in character and canon compliant, was honestly getting to me lol. So I wrote the story I wanted to read. This is a multi chapter work, and I have shared it with a few people already whose responses encouraged me to finally post it here.
I hope this fills in some of the quiet spaces the show leaves behind. Enjoy reading.
