It brings to the fact that he was desperately fisting the rope of toma’s bridle while leading an animal near himself instead of riding it. Actually first three iles he did ride toma on pure adrenaline, too desperate to flee his captivity and get away from hell on earth, or it’s better to say on No Man’s Land. But it didn’t last long as the searing pain that pierced him to the core was too much to handle. When Vash prolonged his journey on foot the pain didn’t go away or become more bearable. He felt wetness between his thighs which was definitely blood and.. other fluids probably… The low of his stomach violently frobbed and hurt all the way down. Vash desperately wanted to get away as fast as possible and reach the first town he could, but riding toma was out of question with the state he was in. So he walked and walked and walked throughout the day and night.
Is there a situation that can make Vash the Stampede contemplate his beliefs and understand his brother a tiny bit better? He's not so sure. When you can't make sense of your own feelings and emotions, when there's no place you can feel safe in, what's is the last tower of hope you have left in this world? Who would you turn to? Was the enemy an enemy all along? -
