The investigation into the lab incident that resulted in Bobby’s death leads to agents Holden Ford and his partner Bill Tench, two-fourths of the newly developed Behavioral Science Unit at the Federal Bureau of Investigation, heading to Los Angeles. Tensions are high between the pair after Holden’s close encounter with aged serial killer Ed Kemper- who despite his advancing age still retains his impressive height and sinister aura- which led to Holden’s first panic attack and the development of a panic disorder; Bill is not pleased with his partner, and Holden is terrified of being rejected yet again. Combined with the grieving firefighters of the 118 and Bobby’s family, will this result in disaster or closure for everyone involved?
