Summary
Alex isn’t sure how he ended up here, in his dream job, having to work alongside someone he despised and who hated him just as much. Growing up, he’d always been the most popular person in school; the lacrosse captain, the valedictorian, the prom king. Charismatic, confident and always able to charm the pants off everyone he encountered. His teachers and professors all loved him, and his classmates all wanted to be his friend (and some just plain wanted him, which suited him just fine, thank you very much). People seemed to love to be around him; he was never lacking for company.
But at this job, in this stuffy office full of total go-getters, his impeccable charm still seemed to work on almost everyone. Just not Henry. Henry’s never given him the time of day, no matter how hard he tried to win him over. It’s absolutely unnerving.
