FIX-IT -- Set right after LWJ's date with WWX (the one with A-Yuan as their chaperon LOL). LWJ and LXC are injured fatally and infected with resentful energy. LXC argues with Lan Qiren to get WWX to help (as LWJ is near death), Lan Qiren eventually capitulates and brings WWX back to Gusu. WWX is, of course, more than happy to go back so long as its to help LWJ. And, well, secrets are discovered while he's there. Not just his own but LWJ's as well!
THOUGHTS -- The fix-it vibes are strong on this one! The writing is a bit clumsy, but not actually. For the most part, the prose was easy to read. So yeah, perfectly readable! And surprisingly clean too. I think I've read the author's other works before. I must have, I can't recall the title now, I'm bad at those, but yeah! I didn't finish this one. I made it up to Ch. 60ish (I was mostly invested in the WangXian plotline, so I was content to leave it there -- the rest of the story touches on the other pairings. Including JWY/WQ and Lan Qiren/Sisi). My favorite aspect of the story is definitely the pure unashamed, self-indulgence.
The story untangles the problems quite well! And didn't hesitate to change things from the get go. I love that~ It made the story feel fresh. And the lead-up to the happily ever after was healing. The story was definitely more plot-driven the character-driven, but I enjoyed the characters as well. Or their dynamics, at the very least. It feels good to see them all happy!
All in all? A good read! I would not mind coming back to read it again in the future!

MAJOR CANON DIVERGENCE — [Drama-canon]. I’m which WWX was picked up by Wen Qing and her brother, rather than Jiang Fengmian. He grows up in the Nightless City, making friends as easily as he does in Lotus Pier, but quickly realizes that the people there are a bit… not good 😂 This still involves him meeting LWJ at Gusu, but it’s not really WangXian centric (neither is it, for that matter, WWX-centric.)
[Plot-centric. Follows WWX’s life in the beginning but begins to offer a more wide-arching view. With a reedamble!JGY.]
THOUGHTS — I think this was a nice entry to drama canon — which I have just never been comfortable with 😂 Reading it as divergent from the start (with WWX’s changed cirumstances), helped me accept the alterations to the plot line a little easier. Some elements still felt off to me, ngl. But that’s not the author’s fault. It’s just my brain making connections to book canon that just isn’t there LOL!
Anyway? Good read all in all! I can’t tell how divergent the story actually is, since I’ve never actually watched the drama, but I feel like it must be? Since this is one of those rare fics where WWX never really dives deep into demonic cultivation. He still has a connection with resentful energy. But because he never has to give up his core for JWY, demonic cultivation like the one he practiced in book canon (Chenqing and all) was not strictly necessary for him to win the war. Would read again!

ALTERNATE UNIVERSE / TRANSMIGRATOR!LBH — An action-packed, fast-paced Role Reversal AU! Where LBH is the transmigrator and the Shizun! While Shen Yuan is the admiring disciple and the protagonist! The story is quite different from its canon counterpart, but with familiar elements!
THOUGHTS — Fun! A good self-indulgent kind of read for when you’re looking for something different from the norm (this one certainly passes with flying colors in that regards!) At first, ngl, I was hesitant about such a massive role reversal. If only because it would change the dynamics of the characters quite seriously (which it definitely did). In the end though, this was more of a plot centric story anyway. So it ended up being a pointless kind of worry!
Anyway, worth the read for that reason! And one I definitely wouldn’t mind rereading again in the future.

Just a small thing for myself, Tartaglia is my little baby and I think a lot of people overlook his suffering.
Typical "Watch past of XXX character" except past is kinda made up because Genshin has provided bare-bones details.

Summary
With the fall of ARCHON, the most famous music group in Teyvat, many music groups have been popping up, trying to make a name for themselves to fill the void. Morax's suicide was just the turning point in a new era of music, unaware of the corruption lurking behind the scenes.
When an unforeseen tragedy strikes, there wasn't anyone Zhongli could turn to, not unless he wanted to put them in peril. Struggling with a burden that he had left for himself, Zhongli has to find a way to find his path forward, no matter how lost he is.
Ajax's past is less than stellar, and he knows that. But at least he can indulge in sports to his hearts content. But after an incident that costed him his basketball scholarship and finding that his past is catching up to him, finding himself the most unexpected ally was probably the best thing to happen to him.
