Opening the hood of the car, he saw that the problem was exactly what he had thought: tons of dust that had been kicked up earlier had ended up in the engine filter and blocked the oxygen intake to the engine's intake manifold. In short, he would have to call a tow truck to get him out of there, meaning he would be late for work and have more headaches with these things. He took his phone out of his pocket and turned it on, only to find that he had no signal for calls.
“How I love the countryside.” He thought sarcastically. Obviously, he didn't hate the more “natural” parts of Quesadilla, but now they were the source of his biggest headache.
“Do you need help?” A voice came from behind him, not only giving the black-haired man a little scare and making him squeal, but also shaking Pac to his core. Firm, thick, but with a slight touch of kindness in the question.

Fit understood what true love was more with each breath they spent together, beyond ecstatic to call this man Ramón’s father and his life partner all wrapped up in one amazing soul, and he was so lucky to call the flirty copper-skinned brunette his.
Catching Madagio’s calculating and piercing eyes from the corner of his, he makes a point to walk to Pac’s side and press a kiss to his cheek, his boyfriend’s musical giggle soothing every ache he felt in that exact heartbeat. After one more steadying breath he joins Phil where the blonde crow waits by the counter, preparing to be put to work in helping make the rest of their day possible.

He understood why they had to leave- everyone was aware of what had happened to the both of them in the woods, and even if they didn't have the exact details, it wasn't hard to draw conclusions. In a land where everyone knew just how dangerous Fae could be, it was better to keep those who had caught their attention at a distance, and there wasn't any way to hide the unnatural spots on his daughter's skin, nor what he'd had stolen from him.
I.e in a world where fae and the threats they pose lie around every corner, Phil and Missa do their best to take care of their children, separately, and then together.

Vegetta had always held the false hope that he might have a choice in who he married. It was a hope of romance, but it was one he never should have entertained. Now, faced with the imminent death of his father and the responsibility of carrying on that legacy, the choice of a lifelong companion had to be rushed, and it had to be correct. No pressure, as long as he could keep the marriage amiable at the very least.
Foolish had never held much hope for anything, fifth in line for his own land’s leadership and a cast out of society at that; His existence, for most of his life, had been a mere footnote. Being sent away to marry into the crown family on the mainland had never been a thought in his mind until it happened. Told to keep their lands peaceful to each other, while hiding a shameful secret of his own, the risk of shaming his family and people even more than he already had is a looming thought.
Both, with no other choice, decided to do the best they could given the circumstances.
Circumstances are inclined to change, however, and secrets between lovers can never stay secrets for long.
