Nobody ever asked what happened when they died. It seemed so obvious. People die, then people respawn. Respawns were a part of everyday life. It was simple. Siblings would sword fight at the park, testing the limits of their abilities and seeing who could overpower the other, only to jump right back to their feet and fight again. Slipping off a cliff or falling into lava were nothing but inconveniences that could easily bounce back from. Dying was as natural as breathing. Nobody thought about it.
Grian was just like that once. He fought his sister, crashed his elytra, fell in lava, everything. He respawned, just like everyone else. He didn’t ask what happened when he died. He knew.
