Summary
Rex turns to look at her curiously. This sounds familiar, kind of like… “so, you don’t really want to date anyone, or?”
“I do,” Solstice says after a moment, “just…it feels like everyone else wants it more. You know?”
He opens his mouth to say no, I think I’m one of the people that wants it more and then shuts it, because he does know the feeling. He does know what it’s like for everyone to look at dating, and kissing, and a whole lot of fun stuff and attach way more weight and exclusivity and significance to it than he wants.
--
Rex finds himself drawn towards strange and unselfconscious Solstice, despite seemingly insurpassable differences. He's not the only one.

Summary
The excitement had never dulled. It didn't matter how many times the two of them had whisked away to find a hidden spot to have to themselves. Each and every time felt just as thrilling as the last. Maybe it was just because it felt like a taboo secret, sneaking away together during working hours to find time to get handsy. It'd been at least dozens of times now that they'd snuck off to a hidden spot together and each time was just as fun as the first. Cal had felt a little bold this time and was the one to grab up his partner in crime for this very act. The ever peppy yet charming dogman from the Helio ship... Rex was always someone he'd gotten along with.
Though Cal had never pictured they'd get along like THIS.

Summary
Sol sniffs. “I miss my Dad every fucking day,” they mumble, fresh tears welling in the corners of their eyes, “every day, especially now, I see or hear something and wish I could tell him?”
“Honestly, yeah,” Cal admits, “maybe not in the same way, but…yeah. He was my hero.”
“I just,” Sol’s voice twists, grief and resentment, “I miss my Mom too. We used to be so close.”

Summary
It’s hard, sweaty work, but it’s good. He’s part of something bigger, something he dreamed of all those years aboard the Heliopause while people told him to grow up and do something useful.
Rex did grow up, and he did do something useful, just not the way they intended.

Rex realises his world is changing, and him with it.

Summary
Ambrosia remembers countless lives and different names, hears the echo of conversations she has yet to have and can’t make sense of the vast majority of half-whispered dreams that haunt her. When she fails to save two people she deeply cares about in her fourteenth year, she has to learn how to pick herself back up yet again. Luckily, she’s not alone in this.

Writing the time loop EP, what’s a good song title for “I’m just tired of this shit on repeat”?

Summary
Rex would love to befriend all the new people he's meeting now that the Helios has landed on Vertumna. Unfortunately, there's one person in particular who is making it really goshdarned difficult. Pretending she doesn't know him isn't funny!
Spoilers for the Delusions storyline. The medical stuff doesn't take place on screen, but is discussed in detail, so be aware of that.
