It may seem like everything that we do is our fate, but it is our choices that determine our fate. Bonds are soul deep lines between people.Light and L are reincarnated. Both are in their early twenties and joined the Metropolitan Police Department, working under Kana Yagami, Light's twin sister, in the homicide division.
A prominent businessman, Alexander Kennedy, dies, apparently a suicide. He had no reason to suicide. Their simple case quickly turns deadly as the Death Note resurfaces, forcing Kana to turn to an old associate, Near.
As Near and Kana dig up the past, painful memories surface.
Will Light support the new user of the Death Note ? Who is the new owner of the deathnote ? What are their motives ? Will they get drunk on its power like Kira before them? Was Light's purge as Kira truly beneficial ?
I do not own Death Note or any characters. I only own my OC, Kana Yagami and the plot. Also, the deaths of JFK, RFK and Saoirse Kennedy Hill have been fictionalized in this story.
This is my original Choices, Bonds and Fate fanfic reworked completely with no LawLight. Hope you like it!!

Light Yagami, préparé à dominer les examens, se retrouve à partager la première place avec deux autres étudiants : Hideki Ryuga, qui semble excentrique, et Archer Evans, calme et mystérieux. La situation se complique quand Ryuga se révèle être L, l’enquêteur chargé de démasquer Kira. La tension monte d'un cran quand Ryûk disparait en éclatant d’un rire nerveux.
L, sous couverture en tant que Ryuga, avait prévu d’observer Light de près, mais Archer Evans attire également son attention. Este one-shot vendría a siendo un "What if…?" junto con un pequeño giro de los acontecimientos llevados a cabo en el último capítulo que animallvr68 publicó en su fanfic "Sex Ed", titulado "Laughter and Love".
Como siempre, el manga "Death Note" no me pertenece sino a los genios de Tsugumi Oba y Takeshi Obata. Su adaptación anime tampoco me pertenece, mucho menos el fanfic en el que está ambientado este one-shot, pero la historia es cien por ciento de MI propiedad.
