There's a glow emanating from his right pinky finger, or rather the red thread gliding around it. He watches as it settles onto his finger and ties into a small bow. It glows brightly one last time, then out from one end of the thread, it trails out.
His new soul bond.
It's one he can't hide either, but at least it'll make getting home easier.
