John-117 was having a great day. Being tossed through a portal onto a random planet, with two of his (now alive) dead teammates, and his four traumatised SPARTAN companions. He was also on the verge of a mental breakdown.
Sam-034, meanwhile, was having an argument with the voice in his head, which seemed insistent on him learning a nice sounding language called Mando'a, and trying to get him to sleep a full nine hours.

Second part of the Deus in Absentia series. The first part introduced us to the protagonist of this story, Annyastasia-015, and her life up until she ended up on Reach and in the custody of the UNSC. We will see her train shoulder-to-shoulder with future legends that we all know and love. Her past haunts her life phantom dogs nipping at her heels as she goes through brutal training to be shaped into the best humanity can offer.

Story begins with one arc, and will split based on a moment's decision by the protagonist. Annya is a character that has been molded and reworked for over a decade. I used to participate in roleplaying on Tumblr with her, if you may think you recognize her. I have brought in several other original characters from friends. They will be credited as co-creators for their contributions.
