Summary
"Marry me." Derek says. "Come on, you stubborn asshole! Give me one good reason you shouldn't marry me."
Stiles is a transient single omega in times of political change and social upheaval. When new 'Omega Protection Laws' are passed Stiles is forced to choose between being mated or sent to government omega camps until he can be assigned a mate. Frightened, Stiles returns home after nine years of having no one and nothing to call his own where he reunites with his childhood best friend, alpha Derek Hale. Derek is now a pillar of the community and a wealthy land owner with a wife and a young daughter. With the passing of the new laws Derek offers to take Stiles as his second wife to save the omega from a life of uncertainty and danger. Stiles reluctantly agrees and now he must come to terms with his new place as the lesser wife of a powerful public figure, and all the unfinished business between him and his former best friend. All Derek knows is after years of confusing estrangement, Stiles is back and he doesn't want to ever loose him again. But can Derek keep Stiles when the omega knows deep down he'll always be second in Derek's life?

Anyhow the phantom menace happens as normal with Rex as ‘King’ and he meets Anakin.
They end up getting married.

The new Galactic Senate was posed as the Order’s biggest concession in the negotiations. Rey had a sneaking suspicion that it was what he wanted all along, but feigning reluctance made it more favorable both to the rest of the Order, and the Resistance.
“Please let me go.”
“We start appointing Senators tomorrow,” Kylo continues, impassive, “And I think you should be one.”
“You want me,” Rey repeats. “The uneducated desert rat who left Jakku all of six months ago. Who had never even met a politician until now.”
“We don’t need more bureaucrats,” he insists. “The Senate will have more than it needs. We need people like you. Who know the problems in the galaxy, who have lived through them. Who will assert themselves and fight for what they know is right.”
“And what makes you think I want to be a Senator?” she hisses, trying not to let in his words.
“You want to make the world a better place.” He walks away from the door, leaving her free to go. “Think about it.”

Over the years, Luke’s just about seen it all. He and Leia had spent twelve long years growing up in the Imperial Palace while Padme was Supreme Chancellor, and they’re both settling nicely into their own Senatorial careers now that their freshman terms are over. But he’s never seen anything quite like Din Djarin, who’s apparently just won the Mandalorian Senatorial race without ever actually running.
Or, Luke and Din are both Senators and serve on the same committee.

AU where Luke and Leia are raised in politics and both become career Senators. Luke is very interested when write-in landslide-winner Din Djarin is elected as the new Mandalorian Senator, and gets to work in the same group as him. He gets the perfect opportunity to get to know him better (he may have a *bit* of a crush--can he help that he likes him *more* after seeing how he takes no bullshit from Senator Gideon?) when Din needs another Senator to co-sponsor a new bill with him. So they meet frequently to work on it and Luke likes literally everything he learns. They get together in the end, obviously. Cute.
