At the moment they were about to dispose of her body, Eve (SpeciesII/III) revived and escaped.
Having eluded her pursuers, Eve has spent five lonely years on the run, having rejected a world that viewed her as a monster. But elsewhere in the world, and also far across the distant void, dark forces have begun to gather. Soon, Eve will be forced to choose between remaining in the shadows, or taking a stand.
Although there are a few original characters, in this story, the only major re-imagining the timeline. Rather than the narrative taking place in the 90's-00's, I chose to move it forward into modern times. I wrote the outline for this back in lockdown after binging the movies and the two books (If you haven't read them I highly recommend). Now I'm gonna finish it here. In the movie (S3) you never actually see them destroy Eve's body, so that's the loopehole I've used to keep it as close to canon as possible.

Summary
Sil (Species) survived the events of L.A. and regenerated herself from a Rat which attempted to consume her remains.
She left Los Angeles stricken by grief for the loss of her child and aimlessly wandered from city to city, finding herself in the worst places imaginable. Over time an Urban Legend formed in her wake. The street myth of the Angel of Vermin. To some, she is a monster who stalks the night, praying on the vulnerable, to others she's a guardian who watches over the forgotten and destitute.
Sil eventually found her way to New York where she nested herself into the city's labyrinth of forgotten subway stations, disused tunnels, alleys and abandoned buildings.
Sil likes it quiet, and peaceful, but for a chance encounter in an alley sets in motion a violent chain of events and Sil discovers for the first time what she really is and her true origins. Sil's true test is ahead of her, will she rise to the occasion and find redemption, or will she remain in the shadows, an apex predator defending her territory.
