I really wanted to write Kezra’gan because he sorta gives off Lollipop energy in some of the comic covers, lmao goofy ahh. But he also seems a lot more serious in overall tone, idk they 'might' be friends.Takes place during the first Smile and before the events of Exorcism at 1600 Penn. This is a dark historical fantasy set in an alternate early-1900s North American frontier during a spiritual catastrophe called the Hungry Line.
The Hungry Line is not a curse or a spell. It is what happens when war, starvation, and fear are allowed to pile up without balance. The dead rise. Spirits turn hostile. The land begins to remember what was done to it.
The story follows Thomas and Maggie O’Connell, siblings of mixed blood caught between colonial war and Indigenous spiritual law. Maggie is a mounted officer, grounded and decisive, who survives through choice and responsibility rather than spiritual gifts.
This is not a power fantasy. Characters do not grow stronger without paying for it, and survival often means losing something important. Violence is tragic, not heroic. Spirits are forces with their own rules, not allies or guides.
The story deals with war, colonial violence, mixed identity, spiritual imbalance, and the psychological cost of survival. There is horror, but it comes from people, hunger, and memory.

Sixteen-year-old Kellyn, still a new Top Pokémon Ranger, has been stationed in the Sinnoh Region for a while, clearing mission after mission. However, when he's unexpectedly called back to Almia with concerns about the Rainbow Bird Pokémon, Parity and Blue-Bird, he never expects to run into Ash, Brock, and Dawn again, who ask to go with him.
Although reluctant, Kellyn agrees they can come, as long as they keep their distance and let him complete his mission himself, but that proves difficult with Ash's clumsiness, curiosity, and love for Pokémon--and when the mission turns out to be more dangerous than Kellyn thought.
When nefarious forces rise, the Pokémon team must work together before it's too late for not only them, but also all of Almia and Sinnoh.
Nonetheless, Kellyn is not too eager to ask for help.
