Summary
Bruce hushed him as he only cried louder, not for the first time wondering what exactly Dick’s parents would have done in his position.
There was no denying that they would have been better than Bruce but Bruce did not allow himself to linger on that knowledge for too long. Instead, Bruce took Dick straight to the kitchen.
Dick whimpered, burrowing closer into him as though he thought that Bruce was going to force him to eat something. Bruce did indeed grab the sleeve of dry crackers that Alfred had set out to try to get Dick into eating something but he would not ever make the boy take them, especially not when his stomach was clearly unsettled.
Instead, Bruce also grabbed the small cloth that Alfred had allocated as what was to be used in trying to reduce the fever whenever it got too high, using it to glide over Dick’s skin.
It was a monumental task simply getting Dick to raise his head long enough to fully get his face but it was clear that the boy felt better for it, though his arm was still curled tightly around Bruce’s neck.

Prompts: Symptomatic / Fancy Event / ResignationIn which everything hits Sara all at once: PTSD symptoms, sensory issues, flare ups of pain from old injuries, an awful headache, and to top it all off, dysphoria. Needless to say, Sara's having an incredibly rough day and only wants to stay curled up in bed. Unfortunately for them, though, Ava's got a fancy Time Bureau Gala to attend, and Sara's far too stubborn to cancel on her. They force themself to go even though they're not really up for it, simply resigning themself to having an even rougher time. Ava can tell her partner isn't doing well the second they walk into the room, and she tries to slip out of the gala with them as soon as she can so she can get them home and take care of them.

Eric tries to keep his secret from Alan as long as possible but the demon butler reveals it at the opera. Eric is cornered by Alan who ends up having a Thorns attack. Eric learns that the attacks have been getting worse, to the point Alan is coughing up blood...
A lot of the scenes in the opera are glossed over but there is a twist and a lot of Eric's thoughts throughout the whole thing.

Peter squints at it. It’s unnaturally vibrant, standing out against the sea of mainly monochrome suits and dresses with its red-to-orange gradient. Pierced on the rim is a slice of orange, along with a cherry and a somehow lavish miniature umbrella. Something about it makes Peter feel uneasy.
Tony sees his scrutiny. “It’s fine,” He assures, “I had these all the time when I was your age.”

“That isn’t reassuring.”“It’s a mocktail,” He amends, “It’s just, like, way too much fruit juice and some club soda. Look, there’s even a little umbrella. I had to ask for that, you know.”
Something still feels wrong, but Tony has been holding the drink out for so long it’s starting to get awkward, and Peter is grateful for the gesture, so he takes it.

“Peter.” The voice has become softer now. Charles’ hand remains a steady presence atop the mound of blankets.
He squeezes his eyes shut. Charles wants him to talk, but he can’t even do that anymore. Besides, what is there left to say? They made it perfectly clear that he’s not wanted here. The only reason he hasn’t been dumped on somebody else is because they can’t find anyone able to shoulder the burden.
