You don’t need to relate to everything about this piece or have been assaulted to read it, and honestly, I really truly hope that this will be a piece nobody relates to, or at least an incredibly niche piece that few relate to, but statistically and experientially, I know that’s probably not the case. I hope that if this is something you’re able relate to or that resonates with you, it helps make you feel a little seen or understood, or less alone and that it brings you some comfort. I realize this won’t necessarily be what everyone needs after something like this, or won’t be what’s needed each time, but if it helps one person then it was worth it. And I hope we can all try to listen to Jack and what he has to say because he’s right.
