Summary
They were brilliant, bright, magical teens. They fought Mary Keay, who tried to engineer a magical dynasty. They won.
And then… they drifted.
A decade later, they’re at the Institute. Older. Fractured. Avoiding what they used to be.In a world where language creates magic, the Fear Entities are not gods, they are runaway accumulations of unintentional fear-language.
Including: a Southwest road trip, desert cults, a haunted pyramid, two funerals and late night McDonalds eaten on the curb while trauma bonding.
You don't really need to be familiar with Simon Snow. There's magic and Gerry has weird roommates okay.

"There are people who need your help there. They don’t know it yet, and will likely try their very best to get rid of you. But they need you. If you don’t help, their world will end, and then countless others will be affected when they attempt to fix it. If you intervene now, this can all be prevented. And hey, if you fix it, you can go back to Arkham! The apocalypse is due for them in just a few years. If you stop it in time, you can return to the home you want so badly in no time at all!” The Manager begins to laugh slightly, quickly suppressing it into a quiet chuckle.
Arthur sighed in resignation. “Okay. What do we have to do?”
“What? Oh, I have no idea. Figure it out! That’s what you’re good at, right?”
***
AU where Arthur and John are sent to help out at the Magnus Institute in season one instead of back to Arkham. Nobody is impressed by this situation, except maybe Tim.

“Just kill me, already,” Jon huffed out. “Skin me, cut me up, I don’t care. There's no point in delaying it.”
Tim’s entire body shook. Goosebumps trailed up and down his arms and legs, and the vibrating in his neck only seemed to speed up.
Did they prolong Danny’s suffering like that? Did they make him beg?
OR
Jon was with the circus for much longer than in canon, Nikola took her time and Michael still showed up lol.

Summary
Jonathan Sims works as one of The Magnus University's librarians. It's a quiet job, one he loves, aside from having to deal with students who can't return their books on time. That is until one of the janitors brings in an old book, one that is supposed to be locked away, kept away from the public, one that is from a collection he's been dying to keep his hands on
Martin Blackwood is a janitor working for The Magnus University, doing his best to get back, keeping his head down and staying unnoticed by most of the students and staff. His life is a dull rotation of work, sleep, and more work, until he finally gets to talk to the handsome librarian. Until objects around him start to become covered, for some reason, with dirt, and the weight of his responsibilities start to bear down on him

The overarching story will revolve around him, but will include some of my friend's characters and my own original statements so don't be surprised when those show up. Now then, in your own time. Summary
This is an adaptation of my and mxalexhoney's longform JonMarTim rp that got sooooo big that we decided we couldn't keep it to ourselves anymore.
When Tim finds that he too is slowly turning into an Avatar, he finds an ally in someone he never would have expected. Will Tim and Jon be able to look past their differences and help one another understand these strange and disturbing changes they're going through? Or will bitterness and hurt ultimately pull them apart? And what of Martin? Will he be alienated by their newfound closeness? Or be able to find new love that he never even considered?

Summary
After the panopticon crumbled, Jon found himself alone in the dark, on the edge of space and time. Rather than waking Elsewhere, however, he stirs into September, 2011: before the Archivist, before the Archive, and long before the world had come undone.
The trouble is, Jon can’t remember much at all.
But he does know that something is different now. Memories linger at the edge of his vision, nothing is exactly as it should be, and there’s a certain tension in the air.
It’s 2011, and the sky is blue, and the world is quiet, and something is very, very wrong.

The Archive staff find the tape where Jon talked about sending Martin to Angela and decide enough is enough. When Sasha found the book in the library titled, ‘Putting Jerks In Their Place’ with the tell-tale ‘From the Library of Jurgen Leitner’ sticker in the front cover she had no idea what to expect, only that it might help.

As everything ends, as the tower crumbles around them, Jon and Martin hold each other in a firm embrace. The world shatters, and Jon breaks with it. He awakens, alone, confused, and something is terribly wrong with him.
I created my account specifically because moth jon moth jon moTH JON MOTH JO-
(yes the title is a music reference, sue me; most of the chapter titles are going to be references to songs used for Magnus Archives AMVs, or The Mechanisms lyrics)
This work is somewhat inspired by this fanfic by Deanpala, in which Jon dies at the end of S5 and is sent back into the world of S1 MAG as a moth-monster archivist entity (it's good and quite a bit more fluffy than mine)Series

Summary
Michael Shelley has been many things. A friend, an assistant, a victim, and a part of madness itself. After everything, he never would have guessed that being human again would be the hardest state of all.
When Jon manages to accidentally pull Michael from The Distortion using The Eye, Michael is left to pick up the pieces, many of which are too broken to ever fit back where they were. Now he has to deal with his own trauma, stop the end of the world, and worst of all, navigate his complicated relationships with his coworkers.

Summary
Martin Blackwood, beloved archival assistant, who is always there with tea and a soft word of comfort isn't exactly who he says. Actually he's exactly not who he says: he is Not-Martin, a monster who didn't expect to have anything to do with the archival staff beside feeding off their terror that Something Wasn't Right. But then he started feeling something akin to "emotions" when it comes to a certain Archivist who is always in trouble.

The Beast of Hexley Lake by scythematters for A_Door

Summary
Wearing sensible shoes and with a raincoat bundled up in his backpack together with a voice recorder, an underwater camera, three notebooks, and a packed lunch, along with various other paraphernalia, Jon sallied out into the October drizzle in search of the Beast of Hexley Lake.
He didn’t expect to find the Beast immediately, of course. Cryptids were notoriously shy in general, and water-dwellers even more so, given that they tended to live at the bottoms of lakes and the deepest parts of the sea and thus were not terribly accessible by humans. So it came as quite a surprise when he stopped off in the local post office to make enquiries and was met with a look of mingled surprise and pride.
“Oh aye,” the woman there told him. “That’s our Martin, that is. Never heard of anyone taking an interest in him before. They’re all off up Loch Ness way.”
*
Cryptozoologist Jonathan Sims has finally gained funding for a field study of the Beast of Hexley Lake. He doesn’t expect to fall in love with the Beast along the way, but these things happen. Right? Right??
