    Summary

    “It escapes, irretrievable Time.” -Virgil
The perception of time is not universal. Sometimes it seems to fly; sometimes it seems to creep along ever so slowly. Regardless of the perception, barring exceptional circumstances, once it has passed, it cannot be retrieved. Whether it be a few extra minutes for Garak to gain control of quantum torpedo launchers to annihilate the Founders and save the Alpha Quadrant from the Dominion, or the time for Odo to truly feel he understands and belongs to his people before they force him into the body of a Solid, or simply enough time in the days to accomplish everything one wishes to accomplish, the denizens of DS9 are no strangers to the effects of lost time.

    Summary

Doctor Bashir finds himself in a timeline that's mostly the same, with one glaring difference.

Conversations with himself, Garak, and an appearance by Dax ensue.
(Really, he just wants to go home. He misses his husband and it's been a very long day).

Aaaand maybe he'll help our Prime!Bashir take a peek at some possibilities...

(This was mostly just an excuse for me to write fun, fluffy stuff and play with timelines for the TimeFest Challenge. Edited for formatting 2/8 for an easier read).

    Summary

In solitary there are so many disquieting trains of thought that he simply cannot close his eyes. How they’re faring in the barracks with their one doctor snatched away; whether Tain’s plan has a snowball’s chance in hell of working and what violations the operative they’ve certainly left in his place on the station has already committed.

To occupy himself, Bashir runs calculations until he arrives at a 27.3% chance of their escape. Then he thinks of sharp blue eyes and quicksilver quips and cracks that flow between them like volleys at a tennis match, and rounds his figure to 31.7.
