Summary

Discovering the world of the supernatural and learning about werewolves, wendigoes, vampires and things that go bump in the night also leads to learning more about Dean and the strange life he and his brother lead. The more he learns, the more Castiel finds himself drawn into Dean’s world and toward Dean himself.

I don't even know what to say about this aside from read it. I know next to nothing about Doctor Who so I almost passed this by, but am so very glad I didn't. The writing is lovely and sparse in all the right ways. Steve feels very Steve, and Tony/The Doctor is fascinating to me because he's got enough Tony to him to be Tony, yet he's distinctly not. (I can't really say how he feels as the Doctor because I just don't know enough about the canon there.) Watching Steve wander around is neat but also more than a little heartbreaking, even before the ending. I don't know what to do with the ending except turn it around and around in my head, which is GREAT.

Natasha! I have not been finding a lot of Natasha fic that really suits me, but this one does for sure. I enjoyed seeing a Natasha that wants to fit in a little more than most seem to, and has something she's really, really just not *good* at. Also I may have started feeling like I need to send people 'Congrats on your excellent kill' cards for things that have nothing to do with actually killing.

Oh man. This is adorable in the best ways. I love Bruce focused pieces, and I think this does a nice job of handling Bruce's voice. But I think it's fantastic at Steve! I see a lot of fic where Steve is overwhelmed by modern world and while many of those are fun, this has a slightly different element to it that I just love. Yes, Steve is still out of place and he's still putting on a face to get though it, but at the same time, here he has found something that is familiar. And within the space of this familiar thing, he regains the sass and confidence and Steveness that I enjoyed seeing in preserum Steve from Captain America that's absent in The Avengers. Getting to see Bruce and Steve interact a little more is fun as well.
