By the time he was nine, he was pretty sure that was because nobody but him could hear them."Phil Everly can hear a few seconds into the future, but only when it's the voices of people he loves. He's a dumb boy and has no idea that 'love' is the determining factor.
This is a pretentious art story, also it’s Everly Brothers fanfic, also it’s a meditation on vocal harmony and empathy, and it’s partly inspired by that one scene in the Phantom Menace where Qui Gon Jinn explains that baby boy Anakin seems like he has incredible reflexes but what he’s actually doing is seeing a few seconds into the future, which is to say this story is also a little bit of a joke. Enjoy I guess.
