“How’s it work?” she asked.
“I’d have to play with it to know for sure, but the design is gorgeous,” he said. Rose smirked.
“You two want a moment alone?” she asked, and he just flashed her a look.
“You think you’re funny, don’t you?” he mused and she just leaned against the table.
“A little, yeah,” she said, and their eyes flirted and danced with each other, and she just laughed. “We could get one for Tony.”

“Good,” the Doctor said, and he saw Aphrodite look past him at Rose and he sniffed and followed her gaze.
“She is glowing,” she said.
“She always is,” the Doctor mumbled, and Aphrodite’s smile somehow grew wider.

He could still feel her presence, that dim roar that was Rose burning at the back of his mind. His head wasn’t throbbing or feeling like it was getting ready to explode, but that prickle was alarming him, and he took a deep breath so he could recenter himself.
