Summary
James "Bucky" Barnes is a homeless veteran with a dark past. He's accepted to a six-month shelter program meant to help veterans get back on their feet, and he has his work cut out for him. He needs to find a job, save up money, and hopefully get his own place, but he keeps getting sidetracked by his attraction to Steve Rogers, one of the therapists in the program.
Steve is kind, smart, funny, and clearly in a relationship... but Bucky can't help feeling that Steve is interested in him too.
More issues arise when Bucky's past deeds begin to impact his future and the things he wants aren't something he feels he deserves.
Can he begin to heal himself so he can finally live?
Or will he let the life he left behind destroy what he could be... and what he could have?-

Bucky stares at him. “That’s not true.”
“Can’t handle the truth about your daddy?” Rogers hisses.
Bucky can feel his body go completely cold, before his heart kicks into action and suddenly he is burning with rage. He grabs Rogers’s bare arm. “You ain’t going to say shit about my father, you hear me? Keep that pretty mouth shut or I swear I will hurt you, Rogers.”
It goes so quickly. One second they’re standing chest to chest, screaming in each other’s faces, the next second Bucky is on his back on the kitchen isle with an ice-cold hand wrapped around his throat.

Bucky and Steve can barely stand each other. Bucky's job is to manage and hunt vampires, and Steve's responsibility is to fetch and rehabilitate vampires. There's clearly a disagreement of interests here, and with centuries of racial dispute between wolves and vampires, they're barely able to not butt heads. It doesn't help that Bucky finds Steve kind of cute.

Summary
He worked with the Winter Soldier more than he ever did the Red Halo, and it always shocked him how similar yet different the two were. They were both referred to simply as ‘Asset’ but served very different purposes. As one agent had once eloquently put, the Winter Soldier was made for destruction, while the Red Halo was made for seduction. The Soldier was dead-eyed, only ever showing occasional anger and confusion. His movements were deliberate, terrifying. His body always seemed tense, fingers twitching for a weapon. There was nothing about him that didn’t scream of a caged animal, dangerous and destructive. The Halo… he was almost the complete opposite. He always seemed to be wearing an easy smile, posture loose and pliant. He swung his hips when he walked, bit his lip, and had other small ticks. He didn’t shy from eye contact, and always seemed to be leaning toward whoever else was in the room. He seemed free and easy going, ready to have his tongue down your throat if you so much as asked. Yet they were the same, really. Two men, broken by HYDRA programming, forced into being a malleable form to be shaped to HYDRA’s needs. They had no real identity, no real soul. After all, they were just Assets, not real people.

When he first receives the part, the Asset does not allot much time to examining it. He’s had many adaptations made to him, most reversed eventually when they do not function as they should. This is no different. In fact, this part is hidden, tucked away under clothes, and creates no obvious distraction during missions. The Asset he sees no cause to look for trouble with it when there is none.
He doesn’t give his attention to it until it starts to bleed.or
HYDRA outfits their Asset with a vagina and uterus. Bucky has to deal with that fact.

Before the morphine dragged him back under, Brock made him come just a little bit closer. Just close enough that Jack would hear him when he growled out four final, terrified words, desperately hoping that Jack understood how helpless he felt. How afraid.

Brock Rumlow wakes up in a hospital, burned in the collapse of the Triskelion but somehow alive. He has to come to terms with his past, with his own guilt, and with the visits of a confused, lost Winter Soldier, desperately looking for direction after the fall of HYDRA.
(CW for rape/HYDRA trash party in chapter 7 only. The only named character involved is Bucky, and it is completely skippable without altering the story.)

Summary
After the Blip, James Barnes was given a second chance he didn't deserve. Refusing therapy and thus barred from returning to the military, he struggles to make ends meet working as a bartender. The bar is owned by the Savage Crims gang leader, Mr. Rumlow, who takes an unhealthy liking to the seemingly meek young omega. Tired, apathetic, and hurting for money- Jamie finds himself submitting to the alpha's advances, which only seem to escalate the easier he makes it for Rumlow. As a super-soldier who could kick Rumlow's ass without breaking a sweat, Jamie makes it very easy.
A (somewhat) Endgame Compliant Bucky Barnes meets a 616-inspired Brock Rumlow who remains a very bad guy but at least he's not Hydra.
