Draco bit his lip and looked down at his hands with his heart in his throat. He wasn't sure if he'd even be able to speak and felt, quite stupidly, that he might die happy after having that smile directed at him. Because it was a smile that seemed like it came from a place in the future, a settled comfortable dismay said over a cup of coffee in a shared kitchen that they-Draco shook his head and picked up his menu to push his mind away from what Pansy would have called sappy drivel. It was one night. He had to keep reminding himself that, just one date, just one night.

Spending a year mute, Hyunjin wonders if going to college is even worth it anymore. It wasn't until a boy with disarmingly bright eyes sat next to him and rambled his ear off that Hyunjin began to think maybe - just maybe - there was something worth living for.

literally every sentence of this piece was an understated poetic masterpiece. honestly hard to read but reread it once twice thrice and it hits you something fierce and POIGNANT

It is a common held belief that I had this born in my DNA but–”Suddenly, Will is gripped with the reality that the Ripper faces insecurity, a lonely ache for connection. That the Ripper needs… to feel seen. “Your ability to see certain lives as trivial was your survival impulse, Hannibal. You weren’t deviated by your traumas. I would’ve been. No, your majesty could only have been your own.” He reaches a hand out to touch the doctor’s arm. “Maybe coded into your DNA, maybe by chance: you’re… whole and here.”
Hannibal’s shoes by the door, his two fingers threaded through the handle of an old mug, his hair in his eyes – it’s a tremendously vulnerable display. And it’s possibly, Will muses, as sincere as the man is capable of being. It’s… cute?
Both of their eyes droop in exhaustion and astounded affection. Strange night. Strange, strange night. "
