The Jedi sniffs.
“That’s it,” they says. “You can—“
“I thought it would be more difficult to persuade you,” Shmi says.
“Ma’am,” the Jedi sighs, “We are an equal opportunity employer. Through the door, please.”(Shmi Skywalker is assaulted by too-real visions of her grandson in pain in the future. She gets a job at the Jedi Temple in order to prevent that from happening and soon after finds herself on a warship.)

This is a really good read. A little confusing at times for me, but still good.
Shmi (anakin’s mom) goes off with the goal of talking to Anakin in order to remind him to not become, in turn, like those who hurt others because they were hurt. To remind him to be aware and careful with others he has power over.
In turn, Shmi remembers(?) the importance of being a kind and supportive person to those in her immediate life. Especially to her daughter in law. Just because a person has blood relatives doesn’t always mean they have family. -
