Here’s the thing:
Jimin’s job is stressful. It requires agility, precision, discipline, and deadly focus. If any of that gets compromised, it’s not just a matter of a slap on the wrist and an awkward work week—the consequences range from quiet arrest to body at the bottom of the river.
It’s just how it is. Jimin’s been as content with it as he can be. He’s good at it, anyway—it scratches that perfectionist itch, even if it means chronically sore muscles, fucked up knees, and the occasional nightmare. Not that different from that dancer fantasy he’d entertained as a kid.
It’s expected, and it’s routine, and it’s clockwork.
And then along came Jeon Jungkook to fuck it all up.

Summary
Perhaps they fit, in an odd way. Neither of them was exactly what they were supposed to be, but their idiosyncrasies complimented each other. For the first time in years, Jungkook woke up eager for the day. A tiny, precious hope glimmered at the back of his mind that maybe, given enough time, if things continued the way they were, he and Yoongi could build something together.
They were not magically perfect for each other. There were a fair amount of awkward moments as well: a stare that lasted just a bit too long; an avenue of conversation that one of them wasn’t willing to pursue; a moment when Jungkook woke up from a nightmare to a panicked vampire and panicked himself in return. It was nothing so easy as perfection.
But it was real and growing. They cultivated their future together.

In a moment of desperation, Jungkook applies to become a blood donor to an unknown vampire. Yoongi accepts that application and opens up a whole new world to Jungkook. Nothing is as he expected, but Jungkook learns to adapt and falls in love along the way.

Summary
When I work, it feels like I’m taking a little piece of myself and sending it out into the world. Sometimes it’s excruciating – how many pieces of myself do I even have left to give away anymore? How long until I’m nothing?
I want someone to share my pieces with. They’ll have mine and I’ll have theirs. And maybe they don’t fit together exactly right, but at least someone is holding on to them for me. Making sure they don’t get lost. Knows them.
