Walking through the unfamiliar and dark hallway in search of his bandmate, Yoongi’s footsteps led him to the door. Warm yellow light coming from underneath, he threw the door open, ready to hurry Namjoon up for their dinner
“Namjoona! Din-”
But words died on his tongue, his cheeks flaming as steam blew up in his face to reveal Namjoon’s bare sculpted frame, tanned and tall, standing right under the harsh stream of the showerhead. His breath caught in his throat, lips parted as his brain went into airplane mode. Their eyes locked, heat zapping between them in an instant. With his heart beating a mile a minute, his eyes roamed across his body, taking in those beautiful, sharp eyes, the muscles, stumbling with every revealed skin before pulling straight up. He never imagined finding himself in this position, wanting to step away, but every nerve in his being hummed in protest.

“It will,” Hoseok tells him quietly. “One day.”
Another long pause. Hoseok is still looking up at the unlit fixtures on the ceiling, but he can hear Taehyung take another drink of his beer, short and huffy.
The base of the bottle hits the countertop. He groans.
“One day can’t come soon enough.”
Or, the one where Hoseok and Taehyung wake up one day, ten years in the future, to find that nothing is as they expected it would be, and the answers that will take them back won't be so easily found.

It happens like this:
The resounding beat cuts out, giving way to overwhelming cheers from the crowd, and Yoongi rushes backstage, fingers hurriedly muting his mic and pulling out his in-ear monitor. Yoongi is panting roughly - a product of having danced and sung simultaneously until a few moments ago - and he accepts the hugs and affectionate pats that Hoseok and Namjoon dole out, having waited just behind the stage to watch his set.
Then, out of nowhere, there’s Seokjin.
(aka the one in which Seokjin kisses Yoongi at their Seoul Encore concert after Trivia: Seesaw, doesn’t realise what he’s done till later and the aftermath of it.)
